Bargarh: Upon the invitation of ThangTa Federation of India and with the recommendations of Odisha ThangTa Association (which is Recognised Odisha Olympic Association); a Senior Thang-Ta Martial Arts instructor Master Rupesh Kumar Adhikari has attended the three–day National Seminar for Trainers and Scorers from which is inaugurated on 2nd September 2022 and will be continued till 4th September 2022.
The Thang-Ta Federation of India has organised the training cum seminar for instructors across the country to train them about Time Scoring Result (TSR). Since Manipuri Cultural Indigenous Martial Arts Sports Thang-Ta was included in Khelo India Youth Games under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, the importance of this martial arts , has increased in the country.
Odisha ThangTa Association (Recognised by Odisha Olympic Association) Hony President Dr Gyana Ranjan Mohanty said that till date manual scoring of Thang-Ta was in competition but now national federation has focused on computerised scoring system in order to promote this Indian indigenous martial arts at the international level.
ThangTa so far has been included in National School Games, Khelo India Youth Games and was also recognised by Indian Olympic Association in early days.
