Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : Shri Sharad Kumar Srivastava, an officer of Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineer (IRSSE) of 1986 batch has joined in East Coast Railway as Additional General Manager, today.

Prior to the new posting, Shri Srivastava was working as Principal Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer at Metro Railway, Kolkata. He also worked as Divisional Railway Manager of Adra Division under South Eastern Railway.

After completing his Engineering Graduation in Electronics & Telecommunication, from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur, Shri Srivastava has joined in Indian Railways in 1988. He has vast experience in Maintenance and Project implementation in the field of Signal & Telecommunication. He has worked in various capacities in Divisional and Zonal Headquarters in connection with Signaling and Telecommunication asset maintenance and execution of projects and has been praised from all corners.

He has vast knowledge and experience in Signal & Telecommunication System in Indian Railways. He has also worked in various capacities in Indian Railways including in Research Design and Standard Organization (RDSO) and also worked in RailTel Corporation of India Limited at Kolkata as General Manager/Operations and contributed in optimization of network resources and had contributed key role in projects implementation in Indian Railways. As a result, punctuality of trains and infrastructure planning has been made possible.

Taking every task as a challenge, Shri Srivastava always strives to move forward in fulfilling the mission of the Indian Railways. He has taken training on Managerial and Leadership from INSEAD/Singapore, ICLIF/Malaysia and SDA BOCCONI/Italy during his career and implemented his experience in the development of Indian Railways, fruitfully. He is also associated effectively with planning and improvements in maintenance of Signaling and Telecommunication assets and coordination of execution of Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) projects.
