Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice): There is a sharp rise in corona entry in the state today, with identification of 495 new positive cases from 24 districts of the state . Out of those, 355 were identified from quarantine, while alarmingly 140 were identified from the public. As a result, the total number of positives has risen to 601, while the number of recovered has reached 5,055. The number of active cases , including today’s new entries, has risen to 2,953.
The new cases were spread over 24 districts of Odisha, with 216 detections in corona hotspot Ganjam. It was followed by 50 in Khordha, 28 in Mayurbhanj, 26 in Anugul, 24 in Angul.
