Cuttack (24 Mar 24): Volunteers and Members of Smt. Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT) held SNSMT Talks at their petite but iconic head quarter at 9, Pithapur. The topic of this edition was ‘History of Odia Architecture and Town-planning, lessons to be learnt’
Speaking on the occasion SNSMT Chairman Shri. Suparno Satpathy said “A major distinguishing factor between a developed nation and a developing nation is infrastructure. Should Odisha albeit India wish to be a world leader, it is high time for us to focus on our Architecture and Town-planning. A lot of course correction is needed. Development is essential but prime is what kind of development. We often are told about Rupantikaran, if we do not progress with a well thought off plan, it wouldn’t be sustainable. History is often the best guide”.
Ar. Prof. Smt. Dharitri Das delivered the lecture and expressed her gratitude for igniting such much needed social cause conversations.
