Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : In memory of the founder president of Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre , Gosaninuagaon, Brahmapur, Late Sadhu Charan Patnaik, a Special Postal Cover has been released at the premises of Head Post Office Brahmapur yesterday afternoon. In a function the said School with the collaboration of Postal Department,the Chief Post Master General of Odisha Circle, Col. Jaleswar Kanhar joined the function as the Chief Guest and unveiled the special Postal Cover, while Mr Tarini Charan Padhi, Senior Superintendent of Brahmapur Head Post Office attended the function as the Guest of honour . Mr Ashish Pathy, the first Principal of Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre Brahmapur and present principal Mrs. Sasmita Panda, Secretary Mr Lalatendu Samanta, South Odisha Philatelic Association President Dr Pranachand Panda and Retired Chief Vigilance Officer(Telecom) Mr Prabhat Chandra Patnaik were among the dignitaries present on the occasion. International Philatelist Mr Bijoy Kumar Biswal coordinated for release of the special postal cover. Philatelist Mr Kasinath Sahoo and Mr Manas Das also collaborate in the function. Among others Bhagirathi Mohapatra, Bikash Chandra Padhi were also present in this occasion.
It is said that Late Sadhu Charan Patanaik was popularly known as Civil Engineer, a yogic being , a spiritual person as well as a spiritual writer. He was a pioneer in spreading of the ideal and the philosophy of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo .He dedicated in the installation of Relics Centre of Sri Aurobinao at Auyodhya(UP) and Brahmapur(Odisha) and he dedicated his life in the Engineering wing of Aurovil (Pondichery) .He was interested in collection of postal stamps at the age 16 till the age of 80yrs and known as a senior philatelist and in touch with the postal department of Pondichery. He has written several books on The Mother and Sri Aurobindo philosophy and literature. He passed away on 4th October 2020. As the origin from Brahmapur of Ganjam distict and a versatile personality, SriAurobindo Intgral Education Centre, Gosaninuagawn, Brahmaur feel proud to dedicate a postal cover in the memory of Late Sadhu Charan Patnaik on his 95th Birthday celebration yesterday. All the teaching staff, senior citizens, intellectuals and public attend this function following the Covid 19 protocols.
