Specialised e-Governance training imparted to officers of Govt of Odisha

Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice): A 5-days’  Specialised Training Programme  on e- Governance was organised by the Department of Electronics and IT Department, Government of Odisha and Odisha Computer Application (OCAC) in Collaboration with National Institute of Smart Government ( NISG ) at the Convention Hall of Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar. The training was imparted to 40 officers of different departments of GoO, nominated by the heads of departments concerned, in first phase, starting from 25th July to 29th July. The inaugural session was graced by Sri Manoj Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Department of Electronics and IT-cum -Chairman, OCAC. While addressing the participants on the objective of the training programme, Sri Mishra said that now there is need of technology in every sphere in delivery of different services to the citizens. In this context, he mentioned that this specialised training programme will increase the efficiency of Government officers and empower them with the knowledge of e- Governance which will also help in discharge of Government works in a time bound manner.

The training in these 5 days was imparted by various IT and subject experts on e-governance;Mr. Prakash Rao Sunchu, Mr. B. G. Gupta, Mr. Sandeep Mudalakar, Mr. Venkateswarulu Madala and Mr. Abhiram Krishna. The topics covered mainly were on e- Governance, Digital India Framework, e-Kranti, Government Process Re-engineering, Internet of Things, Cyber Security,Data Analysis,  Capacity Building and Personality Development etc.The officers in their feedback expressed their pleasure and stated thatthe training programme on e- Governance was educational, interactive and relevant which will help them to augment their efficiencywhile working in their respective departments.

Addressing the participants in the valedictory session, GM, OCAC, Smt. Madhumita Rath said, “As a nodal centre, OCAC will continue to conduct similar training programmes for the officers of Government of Odisha as and when required.”As the State Government is giving importance tofacilitate different citizen centric services and carry out development works aligned with the principle of 5-T and Mo Sarkar programme, thetraining will benefit the officers and enhance their teamwork spiritin carrying out different activities of the departments, she added. Among others, Joint GM, OCAC Mr. Saroj Kumar Tripathy, Dy GM, NISG Rajesh Choudhury were present during the closing session.Mr P. Sai Sameer from NISG coordinated the entire 5 days training programme at the venue.
