Kashipur /Tikiri(Baikuntha Duria) : In their constant endeavor to have a productive collaboration with the stakeholder a one day friendship cricket tournament was successfully organized by Utkal Alumina International limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries limited of Aditya Birla Group at its Oshapada Township Cricket ground on 12th Nov 2022.
A total of six teams comprises of Collector eleven Rayagada, SP eleven Rayagada, CRPF eleven Rayagada, District Administration Kalahandi eleven, Vizaq Railway Division eleven, and Utkal Alumina eleven participated in the tournament.
District Administration Kalahandi won the Champions trophy in the decisive game against Collector Eleven Rayagada by scoring 45 runs in the last over. Collector Eleven Rayagada finished as the game’s runner-up. One knockout over was played after a tie between two fantastic teams, which increased the excitement of the game.
Mr. Shrinivas M from Collector eleven Rayagada was declared as Man of the series by scoring 63 runs and taking 4 wickets while Mr. Jajha Bag won the title of best bowler by taking 7 wickets. Mr. Rashmi Kant Parida of collectorate eleven Rayagada won the title of best fielder.
Smt. Swadha Dev Singh, IAS Collector and DM Rayagada, Shri Vivekanand Sharma, Superintendent of Police Rayagada, Sri Dharmananda Behera, ADM Rayagada, Sri Vijay Kumar DIG CRPF Sambalpur range, Smt. Heena Beig President of Ujjwal Utkal Ladies Club graced the occasion as distinguished guest and encouraged the players.

In his host address, Mr. Mazhar Beig, Unit Head and President Utkal Alumina extended his gratitude to the district administrations of Rayagada and Kalahandi, CRPF and Railway for their active participation in the cricket tournaments and expressed his acknowledgements to all the players who have demonstrated their sportsman spirit in the stakeholders’ tournaments.
