Bhubaneswar becomes 26th station on Star Network
Fares starting INR 1599 from Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda and INR 1699 for the return journey
Bengaluru, July 23, 2025 – In a significant boost to regional air connectivity in Odisha, Star Air has announced the launch of its new route connecting Bhubaneswar (BBI) to Jharsuguda (JRG), with operations set to begin on 16th August 2025. This marks Bhubaneswar as the 26th destination on the growing Star Air network.
To celebrate the launch, the airline has introduced special promotional fares starting at INR 1599 for flights from Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda and INR 1699 for the return journey.
This direct connection between Odisha’s capital and its industrial powerhouse is expected to significantly enhance intra-state travel, reduce transit time, and boost economic activity in the region. While Bhubaneswar serves as the administrative, educational, and IT hub of the state, Jharsuguda is home to several large-scale industries in coal, aluminum, and thermal power.
