Swami Vivekananda opens India’s door to the world- Governor

Bhubaneswar, 12 January 2024: “Swami Vivekananda with his abundant knowledge on Vedanta opened India’s door to the world,” said Honourable Governor, Raghubar Das while speaking at Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar on the occasion of National Youth Day on Friday.

The Honourable Governor underscored Swami Vivekananda’s faith in the transformative power of the youth, emphasizing their pivotal role in steering the nation’s progress. He conveyed India’s aspirations for a ‘Vikshit Bharat’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat,’ emphasizing the global acknowledgment of India’s youth excelling in various fields.

The 21st century is heralded as India’s century, with its youth at the forefront,” Governor Das declared, echoing the sentiments of leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who envisions the youth as the driving force propelling the country to new heights in the next 25 years.

Narendra Modi’s administration strives to offer diverse platforms to empower enthusiastic youths, leveraging digital and innovation revolutions. The Governor expressed optimism about the New Education Policy (NEP), emphasizing its focus on imparting skills crucial for facing current and future challenges.

Governor Raghubar Das urged the youth to expand their intellectual knowledge, recognizing the pivotal role of a skilled manpower base in shaping India’s future. He emphasized that the youth’s knowledge and special skills would unlock abundant possibilities in the journey towards a developed and self-reliant India.

Among others Vice-chancellor of the Utkal University, Sabita Acharya, Adviser to Odisha Governor, Santosh Kumar Satpathy, joint secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar, Swami Atmaprabhananda Ji and president managing committee of the Ramakrishna Mission Dr Chandi Das were present during the occasion.
