Bhubaneswar-: Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, Rourkela had organized a two days “Symposium on Step-in to National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)” on 20th and 21st October, 2023 at “Tennis Center Auditorium, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. BPUT has invited all the University(s) / College(s) to participate in the Symposium. Hon’ble Minister, Skill Development & Technical Education and Rural Development, Odisha has inaugurated the Symposium in presence of dignitaries, Prof. Amiya Kumar Rath, Vice Chancellor, BPUT, Odisha; Prof. S. K. Nayak, Vice Chancellor, Ravenshaw University; Prof. Ramanuj Narayan, Director, CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar; More than 100 participants of BPUT colleges and other Universities of Odisha attended the same.
To improve the ranking of Odisha educational institutes in the NIRF, the symposium was very much useful for the participant colleges. Day-1 sessions were demonstrated by the Experts Prof. Suresh Kumar from Bengaluru, Prof. Rajsekhar Bellamkonda from Hyderabad, and Prof. A. Abudhari from Chennai on different parameters and matrix of NIRF. Day-2 sessions are specially designed to cover the success story and case study of different ranking institutions and the BPUT has invited the experts Prof. M. Murugan of Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore; Prof. Chandrasekhar Bhatt of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal; Prof. P.K.Nanda, Vice Chancellor of SOA University and Prof. Siddhartha Swarup Rautray of KIIT University.
The symposium is ended with the concluding remark of Prof. Amiya Kumar Rath, Vice Chancellor, BPUT, Odisha and he assures to provide all kind technical support to improve the ranking of affiliated colleges and the time will come most of our institutions will be in the race of NIRF. Further, the Vice Chancellor appreciates the support of the Sports and Youth Services Department for sharing their auditorium at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.
Overall, the Symposium is very useful for all the colleges who are making a step-in to NIRF ranking and the meticulous focus during these two days improves bottlenecks existing scored institutions.
