Simultaneous searches at three locations
Bhubaneswar /Khandapara : On late night of 2.7.2024, Sri Dhobei Nayak, Tahasildar, Khandapara, Dist-Nayagarh and Sri Prasanna Kumar Sahoo(Private Person) have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demand and acceptance of bribe of Rs 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) from a Complainant to release his seized sand laden Hyva.Sri Sahoo (Private Person) while accepting demanded bribe Rs.20,000/- as per direction of Sri Nayak, Tahasildar was nabbed by the Vigilance team and the entire bribe money was recovered from Sri Sahoo and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Sri Nayak, Tahasildar from DA angle.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No.11/2024 U/s-7PC (Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against both the accused persons namely Sri Nayak, Tahasildar and Sri Sahoo, Private Person. Detailed report follows.
