Tata Steel Kalinganagar organises Blood Donation Camp

Kalinganagar, January 21, 2026:Underscoring its deep-rooted commitment to community welfare and healthcare, Tata Steel Kalinganagar (TSK) successfully organised a large-scale blood donation camp at the Plot 2 Auditorium on Wednesday. The initiative witnessed a remarkable response from the workforce, resulting in the collection of 290 units of blood to support regional medical requirements.

The drive was organised by the Joint Departmental Committee (JDC), Coke Plant of Tata Steel Kalinganagar in close coordination with the Odisha Blood Centre, Community Health Centre, Jajpur Road, Odisha Blood Centre, District Headquarter Hospital, Jajpur, and SCB Blood Bank, Cuttack. By partnering with these key medical institutions, the camp ensured that the life-saving contributions would be effectively integrated into the state’s healthcare network.

The event was officially inaugurated by Uttam Singh, Vice President (Operations), TSK who also donated blood on the occasion. Among others present on the occasion were Rabindra Kumar Jamuda, President, Tata Steel Kalinganagar Workers’ Union along with other senior officials of Tata Steel Kalinganagar also attended the ceremony to encourage the donors and emphasize the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.

290 donors included company employees, contract workers, and vendor partners, all coming together to demonstrate the spirit of social responsibility and humanitarianism. This collective effort highlights Tata Steel’s ongoing mission to foster a culture of care and support within the Jajpur region.
