The reproduction number of the virus, commonly known as “R” factor, is hovering below one but its high in some of the states. So all effort should be made to ensure that there is no increase in the “R” factor and the strictest possible measure should be taken in the district which shows high positivity rate.
New Delhi(Kalinga Voice): The Union Home Ministry has given strict instruction to the states and UTs to be very much careful in Covid management. The Ministry has asked the state to issue strict instructions to the districts and all other local authorities to take necessary measures for the management of Covid-19. The officers personally should be held personally responsible for any laxity in strict enforcement of Covid Appropriate Behavior(CAB) .
In a letter to the Chief Secretaries of the states and UTs Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla writes “with the decline of active cases, states and UTs are re-opening the activities in a gradual manner. while the decline in the number of cases is a matter of satisfaction, it may be noted that the absolute case numbers are still significantly high. Therefore there is no room for complacency and the process of relaxing restrictions should be carefully calibrated, as has been reiterated repeatedly before. The reproduction number of the virus, commonly known as “R” factor, is hovering below one but its high in some of the states. So all effort should be made to ensure that there is no increase in the “R” factor and the strictest possible measure should be taken in the district which shows high positivity rate. ”
“In view of the upcoming festival, CAB should be adhered in all crowded places. The administration should focus on five fold stratergy Test, Track, Treat, Vaccination and adherance to CAB for the effective management of Covid-19″ , says Shri Bhalla in his letter.
