The Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Cardiological Society of India held
Eminent Cardiologist Dr. P.C.Rath given the charge of President of Cardiological Society of India for the year 2023-24.
Bhubaneswar : The Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Cardiological Society of India held from 7th December to 10thDecember 2023 at Kolkata in a grandway. It was inaugurated by Air Marshal Arup Raha and the guest of Honor was world famous Interventional Cardiologist Prof. Alain Cribierfrom France. In this occasion was presided by Dr. Vijay Bang, the President of CSI, India and the Scientific Chairman was Dr. P.C.Rath. From this occasion Eminent Cardiologist Dr. P.C.Rath was given the charge of President of Cardiological Society of India for the year 2023-24.
The meeting was attended by more than 4000 delegates from India and Abroad, there were 47 International Faculties from USA, Europe, Africa, Argentina and Russia. There were special sessions on women and Cardiovascular health, pollution and cardiovascular health and latest interventional techniques.
The Cardiological Society of India has got more than 5000 cardiologists as members from all over India and abroad. The society was started 75 years ago by Late Bharat Ratna Dr. B.C. Roy, who was the first President of Cardiological Society of India and subsequently became the Chief Minister of West Bengal. As President of society, Dr. P.C.Rath will coordinate with different state branches and different cardiological society of other countries. He will also coordinate with Govt. of India and state Government to formulate different healthcare policies. Under his leadership, the next annual conference of Cardiological Society of India(CSI) will be held in Lucknow in December 2024.
A lot of cardiologists from Odisha also attended this meeting. Prof. H.N. Mishra, Prof. S.S. Mishra, Prof. S. Routray, Dr. S.S.L. Bajoria, Dr. Bijoy Mishra, Dr. P.K. Sahu and Dr. B. Dikshit were actively participated, spoke and chaired in different sessions in the meeting.
It is an honor for the Odisha that an eminent Oriya like Dr Rath (Director, Interventional Cardiology Department of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited.) has become the President of the CSI for the 1st time . Dr Rath was congratulated by all medical fraternity of Odisha.
