TPNODL trains and rewards WSHGs engaged in MBC activities in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: TPNODL’s CSR team conducted another training program for Women Self Help Group (WSHGs) members in Keonjhar circle on 20th April, 2022 at Sanskruti Bhavan Auditorium, after successfully completing a similar training program in Baripada Circle on 6th April 2022. This training and Rewards & Recognition ceremony were attended by 104 WSHGs of the Anandapur, Joda, and Keonjhar divisions.

The event was graced by Sri Bishnu Prasad Acharya- Senior OAS- PD-DRDA Keonjhar district, Sri Bhaskar Sarkar- CEO, TPNODL, Sri Dushyant Kumar Tyagi- Chief Operations, Sri Nilesh Chandrakant Potphode- Chief-Engineering & Planning, Sri Narayan Das- SE, Keonjhar, Sri Dillip Kumar Sahoo- Head- CSR, TPNODL, Sri Khirod Behera, AGM (Electrical) along with EEs, SDOs & JEs of AED, KED. JoED.

The URJA SAKHIs felicitated by the dignitaries have an excellent record in metering, billing and collection in the three divisions. Furthermore, MBC kits with the “Urja Sakhi” branding were distributed to all the WSHG members. The kit bag included a torch, an umbrella, a notepad, a pen, and an Identity Card.

In the session facilitated by Mr. Dillip Kumar Sahoo, a brainstorming assembly was organized with the WSHG members. The discussion was focused on increasing customer satisfaction, billing, and collection performance. To this, WSHGs presented innovative and unique solutions which reflected their experience in MBC activities. There was also an award ceremony organized to recognize the performance and accomplishments of Urja Sakhis.

“The efforts of Urja Sakhis in billing and collection performance are applaudable. We are glad to empower them with all the required training for them so that they can create a benchmark. Urja Sakhis will always hold a place of pride at TPNODL for their continued efforts” said Mr Bhaskar Sarkar, CEO, TPNODL.

Moreover, a safety training was imparted by Mr. Gourish Dhurve, Safety Officer, TPNODL and discussion on the topics “Expectations of Divisional Managers from WSHGs & Expectations of WSHGs from Divisional Managers” and “Role of NGOs in engaging WSHGs in MBC activities and hands-on training for using the FG app” were moderated by the EEs and SDOs. WSHG members also shared their testimonies of working with TPNODL and its impact on their lives including their families, in terms of personality, health, and education.
