Berhampur(Kalinga Voice): TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), the joint venture between Tata Power and Odisha Government for power distribution in Southern Odisha, has launched fifty-seater Call Centre at Ambagada, Berhampur on the auspicious occasion of Odia New Year.
The call centre is equipped with an integrated Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) along with a highly trained set of professionals to take care of all customer grievances.
A toll-free no. 1800-345-6797/ 1912 will be available 24*7 throughout the year for a gamut of services which includes technical, safety and power supply related complaints, billing, metering and payment related complaints, fire and emergency complaints, to know the complaint status, new connection, attribute changes and theft, harassment or ethical concerns. The toll-free no. can be accessed through mobile or landline and will be beneficial for all the customers.

Meter Testing Laboratory was also launched at Berhampur for calibration & testing of meters as per Indian standard specification. The Meter Testing Laboratory has three automatic test benches for testing of single phase & three phase meters. The metrological tests are being performed according to Indian Standard and International Standards. The test bench is having several facilities to simulate the field conditions at laboratory and the energy meter can be tested under these influence condition to prove its stability in field. All sets of tests are run through computer-based pre-defined programs without any human interventions leading to higher customer satisfaction.
