Training of newly appointed Odisha Education Service officers kickstarts

Bhubaneswar, (Kalinga Voice): A 16-day capacity building training program kick-starts on Monday to assist the newly recruited Odisha Education Service officers in making the education system in the state more dynamic.  160 OES officers recruited under Department of School & Mass Education will receive the training in 2 groups. 80 officers are undergoing training in the first phase of this training program which has started at Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management, Bhubaneswar and will continue till August 8. The program is being conducted by Odisha School Education Program Authority.

The training program was inaugurated by Shri Sudam Marndi, honourable Minister of School and Mass Education. “ I stand here as a politician and my officers attend this Programme in various roles. But the man who made us all was a teacher. Welcome to the system that is responsible for sustainability of the society.” Honourable minister wished the new recruits luck for their journey ahead and advised them to work dedicatedly for the development of sector. Welcoming the newly appointed officers Ms. Aswathy S. ,Secretary S&ME Dept. said that everyone’s cooperation is needed to take the state’s education system to next level. She assured them the department’s support incase the officers fumble while making a sincere and genuine attempt.

Shri Anupam Saha, Project Director of Odisha School Education Program Authority shared the detailed schedule of the 16-day training program in his welcome speech to the officers. In the training camp, the participants will be trained in various topics necessary for their work and will be taken on field-visits to offices of District Education Officers and Block Education Officers. The program also includes an evaluation of the officers based on their willingness to participate in various tasks, trips to places of impotence, trekking trips and a cultural program. Smt. Yamini Sarangi, State Project Director of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya in her welcome speech told the young officers not to be demoralised by the challenges of the profession and keep striving towards the ultimate goal of bettering the education system of the state. The inaugural event was attended by many other senior officials along with the  first batch of 40 male and 40 female education officers.
