Bhubaneswar: ‘Udra Charitable Trust’ in association with ‘Unicef’ organised a seed ball workshop today At Capital high-school Field, Unit – 3. Containing soil, mud, and seeds of different plants, these seed balls can be a revolutionary step towards the environment. By throwing these balls in different places, we can create a green revolution. How we can make these seed balls, how to utilize it and how it will contribute to mother nature were the key points of this workshop. Students were educated through this noble initiative by ‘Udra’ in association with ‘Unicef’.
Renowned Odia actor & ‘Mo College’ Chairperson Shri Akash Dasnayak attended the workshop as chiefguest who also happens to be the advisor of ‘Udra’ Charitable Trust. ‘For survival of mankind and ecosystem, massive plantation drive is one of the major point at this time. It provides us oxygen, food, medicine as well home. But lately, mankind is destroying the ecosystem for its own interest causing increase of world temperature turning into global warming. Amount of natural rain is decreased with time. To create oxygen we must start plantation drive today itself. If we can make such seedballs and put it in empty spaces around us, that would be the biggest gift we will pass on to our next generation. Ms Sipra Saksena, Ms Anwesha and Mr. Abhisek joined the event on behalf of ‘Unicef’ where as Mr. Satyabrata Babu joined from ‘Satwik Soul Foundation’.
Mrs Subhrajyoti Dasnayak, Secretary of ‘Udra Charitable Trust’ stated while attending the event, ‘we are focusing on organizing more such camps in different institutions of state to create awareness among youth. Students should come out of self-willness and make these balls.” ‘Udra Charitable Trust’ is constantly trying to educate people and create awareness regarding various environment related camps and workshops for a long time.
