Odisha cadre IAS officer Sri Singh to handle two important national missions -JJM and SBM-II
New Delhi (Kalinga Voice) : Odisha-Cadre senior IAS officer Sri Upendra Prasad Singh took over as Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation in addition to his present responsibility as Secretary, Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation.
After assuming the new responsibility, The 1985-batch IAS officer from Odisha cadre will handle two important missions, Jal Jeevan Mission and Swatch Bharat Mission-II. While Jal Jeevan Mission is committed to provide safe drinking water in the right quantity to all households through Functional Household Tap Connection by 2024, Swatch Bharat Mission-II will ensure the sustainability of Swachch Bharat Mission and will also work for solid and liquid waste management in rural areas.
