Bhubaneswar/Tikiri(Kalinga Voice) : As a part of its relentless pursuits of providing skilled employment to the young women of surrounding villages and making them self-reliant, the Utkal Alumina International limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group has organized a two-day Job drive with ABFRL (Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited) under its banner of Utkal CSR. Utkal Alumina invited ABFRL team to conduct the recruitment drive for the larger interest of the community to engage the unemployed youth girls of the region.
The job drive was successfully conducted on 06th and 07thof October 2021 which draws humongous significance as nearly 800 girls from 60peripheral villages of Utkal Alumina have actively participatedand shown utmost enthusiasm in the event. All the participants were oriented about the eligibility criteria, interview process, Job profile and various facilities to be provided at ABFRL. Out of the total participants, around 100 girls got selected in the process. These selected candidates will engaged in ABFRL Bangalore.
Theparticipants have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Utkal Alumina for providing an employment chance to even the below-par qualified women in the remotest realms of Odisha. Also, the women shown deep exhilaration as this being their first exposure to the interview process. The women said that they have got a basic idea of positive attributes or characteristics that render one qualified for the job.
District Employment Officer of Rayagada– Mr. R.P Tete, Dr. Lopamudra Priyadarsini, Head CSR, CR & Sustainability UAIL, Mr. Brajabidhu Chhatoi – Head HR, ABFRL BBSR, Mr. Bipin Bihari Sahu – Officer Skill development, ABFRLshared the dais in the inaugural session.
The unit head of UAIL, Mr. Beig has thanked the participants from more than 60 villages for their pro-activeness in this Job Drive. He stated that these drives will stand as a testimony to our firm commitment to bring a notable change in the lives of people around the periphery through providing a sustainable sources of livelihood to them. He also thanked the CSR department and ABFRL team for successfully organizing the event.
