Vedanta Aluminium Hosts Students from IIM Sambalpur at Its Mega Aluminium Plant in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda, Odisha;22ndOctober 2024,Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, recently hosted students from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur as part of its Campus Connect initiative. This visit offered the students a unique opportunity to explore Vedanta’s state-of-the-art operations and gain insights into the aluminium manufacturing process, which supplies high-quality aluminium to over 60 countries. They also learned how sustainable businesses are run on a global scale.
An on-wheel tour of the facility, led by experienced professionals, gave the students a firsthand look at cutting-edge machinery and advanced processes in action. They also observed the rigorous safety protocols and world-class practices that underline Vedanta’s commitment to operational excellence. The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged with Vedanta’s leadership team on various topics, including career opportunities, industry trends, and the importance of sustainable business practices in the aluminium sector.
