NLC India Ltd is striving to enhance the green cover in addition to contributing to national growth by supplying coal and power. The Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2021 was inaugurated by Minister of Coal Government of India Sri. Prahlad Joshi, in presence of Sri Rao Saheb Patil, Minister of State. As a part of the Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2021 and with an ambition to increase the forest cover of the district, the Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2021 which commenced at Gurupali & Bomaloi village. It was inaugurated by ACF Sambalpur Forest Division, Executive Director, NLC India Ltd, CGM/ Project Head NLC India Ltd, GM/Mining NLC India Ltd along with other senior officials of NLC India Ltd. Under Vriksharopan Abhiyan 2021, NLC India Ltd Talabira Project has planned to plant 10000. saplings in 10 Hectare area in FY 2021-22. The afforestation drive to be implemented by Sambalpur Forest division with budgetary support from NLC India Ltd.
