Workshop on Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana (MKUY) and Allied Enterprises on the Third Day of Sisir Saras
Bhubaneswar,12.01.2026: With the objective of strengthening rural livelihoods through various schemes of the State Government, a special workshop on the Chief Minister’s Agriculture Enterprise Scheme (MKUY) and allied enterprise promotion initiatives was organized on the third day of the Sisir Saras 2026 fair.The workshop was organized under the supervision of ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society), with the support of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, Government of Odisha. The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among Self Help Groups (SHGs), producer groups, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders about various government schemes.During the workshop, information on subsidies, bank loans and technical assistance available under MKUY was explained in a simple and accessible manner. Discussions were also held on opportunities related to animal husbandry, fisheries, food processing, value addition and rural enterprises.The Odisha Agro Industries Corporation Ltd. (APICOL) participated in the workshop as a resource institution and provided participants with information on government support available for setting up rural enterprises and on coordination among different schemes. More than 150 SHG members and farmers participated in the workshop.It is hoped that such workshops will encourage entrepreneurship in rural areas and serve as an important step towards creating sustainable livelihoods.
