Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) is fully committed to protect the environment and follow the prescribed Environment Standards of CPCB, MoEF&CC and State Pollution Control Board Odisha. PPL attaches highest importance to creating awareness.
After two years of covid pandemic, “World Environment Day” is celebrated with full enthusiasm at PPL on 5th June 2022. This day renewed the efforts and strengthened the resolution to protect the environment besides bringing greater awareness on its importance amongst the employees their family members and public at large.
Sri Puskar Chandra Behera, Regional Officer, State Pollution Control Board, Paradeep, Odisha was the chief guest on the occasion. Sri Pranab Bhattacharyya, Chief Manufacturing Officer & Factory Manager, Sri Jagannath Khuntia, GM (HR) and other Senior Executives were present.
Sri Ambikesh Kumar Mishra, Dy. General Manager (EnvMgt) welcomed the guests and the gathering. Sri Puskar Chandra Behera, Regional Officer, State Pollution Control Board, Paradeep hoisted the Environment Day flag and participated in tree plantation programme. Sri Pranab Bhattacharyya, Chief Manufacturing Officer explained this year theme “Only one earth” with various examples including initiatives taken by PPL and recommended action plans for individual. He also appealed to all employees to actively participate in preserving the environment by individual contribution as well as at society level.
Chief Guest Mr. Behera emphasized the importance of environment & trees in our life and advised all to connect with environment. He also explained about importance of Air, Water, Soil & waste management system. At the end Prizes were distributed to various winners of the competitions organized in this occasion. Environment Management team conducted the proceedings.
