Bhubaneswar: Yuvraj Mehta, 1995 MBA Batch of KIIT, has been elected president of the KIIT Alumni Association (KIITAA). He will serve for two-year term (2024-26). The Association represents the interests of KIIT University graduates around the globe.
Yuvraj is the Founder and CEO of StrateRise Consulting which specializes in Strategic Communication, focusing on Reputation Management, Crisis Communication, Brand management, and ESG. He also serves as a member of KIIT School of Management Board of Studies.
Before starting his entrepreneurial journey, he was spearheading the communication and brand management department of leading multinational companies like L&T, Samsung, Reliance Infra, GMR, etc. Some of his communication works are now part of IIM Ahmedabad and Havard Business School case studies.
Expressing his happiness, Yuvraj Mehta said, “I am honoured to be elected as president of KIITAA. As an alumni association, we have incredible momentum and I am looking to build on that momentum for alumni to either connect with or deepen their connection with the university. The association will not only help alumni achieve their professional and societal goals but also contribute to the University’s vision of being recognized among the world’s leading institutions in academics, research, outreach, and innovation.”
The other newly elected executive committee members are Akash Jaiswal (MBA 2022), Founder & CEO, Wooble; Gaurav Udgata (M.Tech 2016), Asst Professor, Civil Engg, KIIT; SangeetaSahu (Phd 2021) Sr. Project manager, Instasafe; Devi Prasad Dash (B.Tech 2005) CHRO, Apollo Health and Lifestyle; Shakti Prasad Tripathy (B.Tech 2006), Associate consultant, TCS; BanditaSahoo (B.Tech 2012), Advisory Manager PwC and SikandarAlam (B.Tech 2001), Sr Manager, Capgemini.
“KIIT University has undergone remarkable growth and achieved a commendable global standing” said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Hon’ble Founder KIIT & KISS. He is also the ex-officio Patron of the association whose slogan is “Strengthen Alumni and Strengthen KIIT”.
Dr Samantafurther added, “The KIITAA helps to drive engagement between our university and worldwide alumni community. All alumni can participate in initiatives that would further enhance the perception and uplift the University’s reputation. I am very excited that Yuvraj will be leading these efforts as president along with other newly elected executive committee members for the next two years.”
KIITAA is an independent body of alumni of KIIT University. An Alumni Relations Cell has also been set up under Prof. Dr.ShyamSundarBehura, Additional Registrar KIIT, and supported by the Alumni Relations and Faculty – Alumni Relations of respective schools to look into alumni affairs.
