Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) – A week-long national e-workshop on Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights is being organized by INTEC as part of the sensitization activities of CSIR-IMMT. Hon’ble Chief Guest Arvind C. Ranade, Director of Gandhinagar National Innovation Foundation, inaugurated the workshop. More than 1500 students, faculty, researchers, scientists, and industrialists are participating in the session.
In his speech, Dr Ramanuja Narayan, Director of CSIR-IMMT delivered detailed information on various activities of CSIR-IMMT and INTEC and the importance of Intellectual Property Rights in today’s world. Chief Guest Director Dr. Arvind C. Ranade appreciated the successful efforts of all the organizers of the event and highlighted the potential contribution of the Indian side to innovation and IPR (Patents and Designs) and the impact of Intellectual Property Rights on future generations.
Welcoming all the delegates and participants Dr. Ashok K. Sahu, Head-Intake expressed his pleasure for the overwhelming response from the participants. Senior Scientist and Convener of NeW IPR-2023 Dr T Pavan Kumar highlighted the workshop.
Innovative Technology Enabling Center – INTECH is an incubation facility of CSIR-IMMT which is running about 13 startups and about 20 programs on Innovation and IPR by Startup Odisha. Apart from this, it has sensitized about 30,000 enthusiasts on the important issues of the world. In total, CSIR-IMMT could file 20 new IPRs in the last one year.
