Jabalpur,: The National and International Vyayam (Exercise) Championship is set to take place at Small Wonder Senior Secondary School, Baldev Bagh, Jabalpur, from October 18 to October 20, 2024. This three-day event is being organized jointly by Vyayam Bharat, Vyayam Association of Madhya Pradesh, and Shri Ram Seva Samiti.
Participants from various states and countries will showcase their skills in traditional exercises such as Dand Vyayam (push-up exercises), Bahu Shakti (arm strength), Uthak Baithak (squats), yoga, folk exercise arts, Mugdar Vyayam (mace exercises), sword fighting, traditional stick fighting, and Sourya Kusti (wrestling). Following the competitions, selected winners will be honored with gold, silver, and bronze medals for securing first, second, and third places respectively.
Key figures leading the National Vyayam Championship 2024 include Gyan Ranjan Mohanty, founder of Vyayam International from Odisha; William Dias, Principal of Small Wonder Senior Secondary School; Aman Yadav, National President of Vyayam Bharat; Abhijit Kumar Mohapatra, Secretary General; Lakhan Sahu, Technical Director; Dr. Madhulika Tripathi, President of Vyayam Association of Madhya Pradesh; Ramkishore Soni, Secretary and Senior Vice President of Vyayam Bharat Association of Madhya Pradesh; Pt. Uttam Pandey, President of Shri Ram Seva Samiti Madhya Pradesh; Sunil Dimole, National Vice President; Ashish Bhardwaj, Co-Secretary; and patrons Vivek Ranjan Shukla, Mrs. Savita Patel, Bhusra Khan, Aakriti Vaishya, Amar Kadam, Ankit Vishwakarma, Deepak Namdeo, Sandeep Siddharth, Mamta Pandey, and Vivek Barman.
