Rourkela Hosts ICICNDA-SERS 2026, Bringing Global Experts Together on Sustainable and Energy-Resilient Systems

Rourkela,(Kalinga voice): The Rourkela Institute of Technology successfully organized the 1st International Conference on Intelligent Communication Networks and Decision Analytics for Sustainable & Energy-Resilient Systems (ICICNDA-SERS 2026) on February 27–28, 2026. The hybrid conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from academicians, researchers, industry professionals, and students from India and abroad.
The conference was organized under the dynamic leadership of Chairperson Rashmita Tete and Vice-Chairperson and Director Dr. Ipseeta Nanda. Their vision and commitment to academic excellence were reflected in the seamless execution of the two-day international event, which served as a platform for knowledge exchange in emerging areas of intelligent communication networks, artificial intelligence, analytics, and sustainable technologies.
The inaugural session was graced by Hon’ble Minister Ex-MLA Sj.Shankar Oram (as depicted in the conference welcome poster), who attended as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of innovation-driven research and sustainable technological development in strengthening India’s digital and energy infrastructure. He commended the institute for taking the initiative to host a global forum focused on energy resilience and smart systems.
The conference featured distinguished keynote speakers from reputed institutions and industries worldwide. Among them were Krishna Baride, Senior IT Leader (PLM), USA; Ashutosh Rana, Software Developer in AI & Analytics, USA; Prof. Pooja Jain from Indian Institute of Technology Nagpur; Prof. Selvalakshmi V. from SRM Institute of Science and Technology; and Dr. Vallappan Raju, Professor of FinTech at GISMA University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Their keynote addresses highlighted advancements in artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, financial technology, and next-generation communication networks aimed at sustainability.
The central theme of ICICNDA-SERS 2026—“Intelligent Communication Networks and Decision Analytics for Sustainable & Energy-Resilient Systems”—sparked insightful discussions on green computing, smart grids, AI-powered analytics, and resilient infrastructure. Researchers presented papers proposing innovative models and frameworks to address contemporary global challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, and sustainable energy management.
The hybrid mode of the conference enabled both in-person and virtual participation, thereby widening its global reach. Technical sessions, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A segments fostered collaboration between academia and industry, encouraging interdisciplinary research and innovation.
