SOA ORGANISES ALLYSHIP++ 2.0 WITH FOCUS ON GEN-Z ASPIRATIONS AT HYDERABAD

Bhubaneswar, May 18: Senior industry leaders, HR professionals and academicians grabbed the spotlight at Allyship++ 2.0 – Hyderabad Chapter organised by the SOA Deemed to be University at Hyderabad on Friday who deliberated on inclusive leadership and evolving expectations of the Gen-Z professionals.

They spoke on the theme ‘Practicing Allyship in Gen-Z Leadership’ alongside a fireside chat held at Le Meridien, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

Dr. G. Srinivas Patnaik, Secretary of the Indian Athletic Federation, shared valuable insights on leadership, discipline, mentorship and the importance of trust and resilience in nurturing young talent. Prof. Prasanta Kumar Patra, Pro-Vice Chancellor of SOA, who spoke about the university’s spectacular achievements, felicitated the guests.

Allyship++ 2.0 reaffirmed SOA’s commitment to fostering industry-academia collaboration and creating platforms that encouraged inclusive leadership, innovation and collaborative progress in the Gen-Z era.

Dr. Raj Kumar Hota, Dean-Corporate Relations and Placement, SOA, who convened the event, emphasized on the importance of building empathetic, inclusive and future-ready leadership ecosystems aligned with Gen-Z aspirations.

A major highlight of the event was the panel discussion moderated by Prof. Sanjay Dhir, Professor at IIT Delhi, which focused on how organizations and institutions could meaningfully practice allyship while engaging with Gen-Z professionals and students. The panel comprised

Ms. Rachita Mahadev, Emerging Talent Lead – India and APJ of Akamai Technologies, Mr. Bikram K. Nayak, Vice President – Human Resources, NCC Ltd, Dr. Reena Das, Chief Human Resource Officer – Keolis Hyderabad and Ms. Ishadarshi P. Mishra, Head of HR – Global Hub, Reckitt.

The discussion covered themes including workforce transformation, psychological safety, inclusive leadership, employability, mentorship, learning agility, campus-to-corporate transition and creating workplaces where Gen-Z professionals could feel heard, empowered and valued. Panelists highlighted how organizations must evolve leadership approaches to balance performance, empathy, continuous learning and purpose-driven engagement. 

The event witnessed active participation from corporate leaders, HR professionals, academia and emerging professionals from across Hyderabad followed by an interactive networking session. The program concluded with Ms. Kajal Panda, Deputy Director, SOA, proposing the vote of thanks. She appreciated the contributions of the panelists, moderator and participants for making the Hyderabad chapter of Allyship++ 2.0 a meaningful and impactful initiative.
