Bhubaneswar, August 11, 2026: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sansthan (VBSS) successfully organised the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047 Vision Programme’ in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, with Shri Suresh Kumar Pujari, Hon’ble Minister, Revenue & Disaster Management, Government of Odisha, as the Chief Guest. The programme focused on India’s journey towards becoming a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047 and called for greater public participation in nation-building.
The programme was graced by Mr. Ravi Kumar Ayyar, SS RSS Pracharak; Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Founder, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sansthan (VBSS); Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi, Chairman, Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital; Dr. Prabhat Ranjan Biswal, Ex-MLA, Choudwar-Cuttack; Shri Babu Singh, MLA, Ekamra-Bhubaneswar; Er. Prakash Chandra Sethy, MLA, Cuttack Sadar; Dr. Fakir Mohan Nayak, MLA, Telkoi; Shri Lokesh Kevadiya, State Minister, Chhattisgarh; Shri Pandit Yogendra Mahant, Former Minister, Madhya Pradesh; Dr. Karmakar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar; Mr. Tapan Chand, Ex-Chairman, NALCO; Dr. Chidatmika Khatua, Rashtriya Mahamantri, VBSS; and Dr. Sasmita Samant, Educationalist.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the vision of building a developed, self-reliant and globally respected India by 2047. They emphasized the importance of collective efforts, youth participation, social responsibility and public awareness in achieving the national vision.
Among those present were Ms. Kalpana Das, Former Secretary, Red Cross and Chairman, Child & Woman Development Society; Dr. Rajani Kant Mishra, President, BJMM; Mr. Santosh Kumar Sahoo, General Secretary, BJMM; Banamali Rath, Secretary, BJMM; Chandrasekhar Pati, State Secretary, Media Cell, BJMM; Pranati Sarangi, President, Women Cell, BJMM; Ratikant Mishra, State Treasurer, BJMM; and Khirod Kumar Jena, State Convenor, BJMM.
Chandan Kumar Sahoo, Surendra Kumar Khuntia, Niroj Mohanty, Dharmendra Gupta, Sanjib Kumar Sahoo and several other karyakartas and social activists also participated in the programme.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to contribute towards the realization of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and to work together for a prosperous, inclusive and developed India.
