Jharsuguda-03/09/2026: Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm and joy at DAV Public School, Jharsuguda. On this auspicious occasion, the young students of the school dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha, Gopis and Gopals, adding colour and charm to the celebration.
The students, dressed in traditional attire, presented various episodes from the childhood pastimes of Lord Krishna and portrayed different aspects of the love and devotion of Radha and Krishna through dance and enactments. The captivating appearances of the little Gopals and Radhas transformed the school campus into a vibrant Mathura. The main objective of celebrating Janmashtami was to instil in the minds of the students the values and messages of Lord Krishna’s life-righteousness, truth and justice.
The Principal of the school, Laxmi Kanta Debta inspired the students to follow the ideals of Lord Krishna and move forward on the path of truth, dedication, a sense of duty and humanity. During the celebration, Sunanda Praharaj, Sabita Dhal, Rinku Sharma, Sangeeta Sinha, Smita Sahu, Uma Singh Chandel, ASV Srivali and other departmental teachers actively participated in the programme and encouraged the students.
