Jharsuguda: PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana — With the objective of creating greater awareness among the public and encouraging the adoption of rooftop solar systems, a awareness campaign was launched in Jharsuguda district through the ‘Solar Rath’ by TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha.
Wednesday, in the Jharsuguda District Office premises, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Shri. Brajabandhu Bhoi, OAS, flagged off this Solar Rath.
The Solar Rath was initially inaugurated in Sambalpur by the Honorable MP Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan. After covering Bargarh as its second stop, the Solar Rath has now reached Jharsuguda as its third destination.
Through this initiative, information regarding rooftop solar and the PM Surya Ghar scheme will reach a wider population across Western Odisha.
