NTPC Bongaigaon Celebrates National Fire Service Week

Bongaigaon: The CISF Fire Wing at NTPC Bongaigaon marked the National Fire Service Week 2024 with a series of impactful activities and demonstrations, reinforcing the critical message of fire safety and preparedness.
The event, held on 14th April,2024 was graced by Chief Guest Shri K C Muraleedharan, CGM and Business Unit Head, Shri G M Thangzom, Commandant CISF, Shri Induri S Reddy, GM (O&M), Shri A Biswas, GM (Operation), Shri M. S Kandari Asst.Commandant,CISF(Fire), Shri Onkar Nath, AGM(HR), CGM SBSS (Powergrid), HODs, District Fire Officer, families, and school children. 

The week-long observance which started from 6th April-13th April,2024 commenced with an inauguration ceremony where CGM Shri Muraleedharan emphasized the importance of fire safety in saving lives and protecting properties. 
Paying tribute to the martyrs who laid their lives for various disasters, Shri Muraleedharan highlighted the significance of preparedness in mitigating risks. Addressing the gathering, he commended the CISF Fire Wing for their relentless service and dedication to ensuring a safe working environment at NTPC Bongaigaon. A highlight of the celebration was the live fire demonstration orchestrated by the skilled personnel of the CISF Fire Wing, accompanied by the release of a Fire Safety Booklet. 

This simulation showcased various fire-fighting techniques and rapid emergency response strategies, significantly enhancing awareness and readiness among officers, employees, families, and visitors. 
Throughout the week, employees, families, and school children actively participated in numerous fire safety-related activities and competitions designed to bolster knowledge and foster a culture of safety. The ceremony culminated with the distribution of prizes by the chief guest and other dignitaries to the winners of various activities, acknowledging their participation and enthusiasm in promoting fire safety practices.
