Berhampur, June: Reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and employee volunteering, TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) organised a Blood Donation Camp at Ghumusar Club near the Bhanjanagar Circle Office on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, observed globally on 14 June, to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about the life-saving importance of blood donation. The initiative brought together employees, business associates, and members of the local community in support of this noble cause. World Blood Donor Day is observed every year to recognise voluntary blood donors and encourage safe blood donation practices worldwide.
The camp was organised in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur. Medical professionals conducted health screenings and ensured that the blood donation process was carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with prescribed medical standards.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from TPSODL employees, business associates, and local residents. A total of 64 units of blood were collected during the camp, reflecting the strong commitment of participants towards supporting this life-saving cause.
The dignitaries appreciated the spirit of voluntary blood donation demonstrated by the participants. They highlighted the importance of regular blood donation in saving lives and strengthening healthcare services, while encouraging more people, especially youth, to come forward and contribute to this noble cause.

The TPSODL CSR Team organised the blood donation camp as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to promote employee volunteerism and community engagement. Through such initiatives, TPSODL continues to create a positive social impact and contribute towards the well-being of the communities it serves.
The programme was graced by Smt. Abhipsa Pattnaik, Tahsildar, Bhanjanagar; Smt. Bharati Devi, Block Development Officer (BDO), Bhanjanagar; and Sri Himanshu Sekhar Mohanty, DFO, Ghumsur North Division. Representing TPSODL, Mr. Pratap Keshari Sahoo, Chief Engineer, and Mr. Abhijit Padhi, Superintendent Engineer and Circle Head, Bhanjanagar, were present along with other officials.
