Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar and Saevus Magazine conducted ECO ACHIEVERS QUIZ 2022-2023
Bhubaneswar (Kalinga Voice) : Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar and Saevus Magazine, The country’s foremost nature and wildlife magazine, with the support of TATA MOTORS have once again joined hands to conduct the 7th Bhubaneswar Edition of the SAEVUS Eco-Achievers Quiz 2022-2023 on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at KiiT International School, Campus-9, Patia, Bhubaneswar.
SAEVUS Eco-Achievers Quiz is the country’s favorite wildlife quiz. With the threat of climate change looming large, there cannot be a more appropriate time to create a generation that cares about the planet. The SAEVUS EcoAchievers programmes help to sensitize school children about the environment using the edutainment format. It has no participation fee and is supported by TATA MOTORS in Bhubaneswar. It is being organized by Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar.
SAEVUS is a pan-India wildlife magazine that celebrates the vision of ‘Conservation through appreciation’ and see the participation of 50,000 children in their school programmes every year. This middle school Quiz was launched in 2015 in select metros and grew from strength to strength to reach 40 cities within two years
The quiz is being organized in association with Rotary Clubs in 40 cities in the country between August and January. The champion team from these city rounds will be pitted against each other in the National Finale to be held in Mumbai on February 18, 2023.
Total 32 teams of three participants each comprising students from standards 5th, 6th and 7th from different schools across Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, participated in the quiz championing the cause of the natural world .
While BJEM School, BJB Nagar, Bhubaneswar emerged as the winners, DAV Public School, CDA, Cuttack, 1st Runners up and DPS Kalinga Bhubaneswar, 2nd Runners up respectively.
Rotarian Srichandan Mishra, President, Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar and Mr. Sanjay Suar Principal of KiiT International School gave away the trophies and prizes. Bhubaneswar Edition of Saevus Eco-Achievers Quiz was conducted by very Renowned QuizMaster Mr. Rajib Sanyal from Kolkata.
