AM/NS India wins prestigious Sustainable Performance Award at 4th National Power-Gen Leadership Awards 2026

Paradeep, September 16, 2026: The Captive Power Plant (CPP) of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) at Paradeep has been conferred with the Sustainable Performance Award under the category of ‘Excellence – CPP Coal Unit Below 50 MW’ at the 4th National Power-Gen Leadership Awards 2026 by the Council of Enviro Excellence in New Delhi.
The award was presented by Shri Annamalai R, Joint Chief, Engineering, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), and Dr. Himadri Banerji, Advisory Board Member, CEE, and Advisor E&Y AI & Digital Transformation, and received by Shri Bijay Kumar Mohanta, Sr. Manager, Operation, CPP, AM/NS India on behalf of the company.
Operating entirely on domestic coal, CPP, Paradeep has consistently set benchmark standards in operational efficiency, environmental stewardship, and sustainable energy practices.
