Bhubaneswar: Ama Gaurav Ama College organised an interactive and awareness-based webinar on “Changing the Narrative on SuicideFrom Silence and Stigma to Conversation and Hope” on 10 September 2026 (Thursday).
The session featured Dr. Nirlipta Dash (MBBS, MD), Consultant Neuropsychiatrist and Assistant Professor, IMS & SUM Hospital, as the Key Speaker. Dr. Dash provided valuable insights into suicide prevention, recognising signs of emotional distress, supporting individuals experiencing trauma, and creating safe and supportive campus environments. He emphasised the importance of breaking the silence and stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging open conversations, empathy and timely support.
