Ama Hospital Scheme extended to all Govt Hospitals

Bed Strength in Jajpur DHH enhanced to 420

Bhubaneswar: In another big step towards qualitative transformation in universal health care, today Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik accorded in principle approval for extending Ama Hospital Scheme to all Govt hospitals. It was also decided that all District Head quarter Hospitals (DHH), Sub-divisional Hospitals ( SDHs), Community Health Centres ( CHCs),and Primary Health Centres ( PHCs) would be renovated and transformed in different phases over coming four years.
Similarly, in another significant move State Government also enhanced the bed strength of Jajpur DHH from 330 to 420. It may be pertinent here to mention that DHH Jajpur would be the teaching hospital for Jajati Keshari Medical College and Hopsital, Jajpur.
While issuing notices to these effects today, Secretary Health and Family Welfare Smt Shalini Pandit ordered for publication of the notices in extraordinary issue of Odisha Gazette.
