Artists of ‘Rudraksha’ Foundation performed Navadurga’ in the 10th Abhilasaa Group Odissi Dance choreography organized by ‘Mokshya’
Bhubaneswar, Dt-13.03.2025: “Mokshya”, an Odissi Dance institute of Bhubaneswar dedicated to art and culture, organised the 10th Abhilasaa Group Odissi Dance Choreography at JayadevBhavan on Monday this week.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Chairperson of the institution “Mokshya” Dr. Sujata Mishra. This was attended by Kendra SangeetNatakAkademi Awardee &Odissi dance exponent Guru SnehaPrava Samantaray, Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardees &Odissi dance exponent Gurus Shri Braj Kishore Mallik and Guru Shri Gajendra Kumar Panda, Odissi dance exponent Guru Jyoti Rout and Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya’s Lecturer and Odissi vocal exponent ShriNimakantRoutray as guests of the occasion.
Among the various group dances,performed by different organizations, ‘Navadurga’ performed by leading Odissi dance institution ‘Rudrakshya’ Foundation, mesmerized the audience in the programme. This performance, originally dance choreographed by Padmashree late Pankaj Charan Das and composed by the Guru late Harihar Panda was presented by PrashantKuanr, Biswajit Jena, Lopamudra Sahu, Avipsa Biswal and Sudeepa Rout of the institution.
It is to be noted that in this programme held, group Odissi dance performances from 10 organizations including Tridhara, BharatiNrutyaMandir, Nirjhar Academy, Moksha, Guru Meenakshi Behera and troupe and Rudraksha Foundation all of from Bhubaneswar and Jyoti Kala Mandir (USA), Nrityashree (Karanjia and Bhubaneswar) and Arduta (Rawa Academy) kept the attention of audience for a long time. The visitors appreciated the efforts of moksha organization in propagating Odissi dance and culture. The event was compered by Rajshree Priyadarshini and Ratna Mohanty.
