Four Houses and Twelve Clubs Formed under the Student Council
Jharsuguda. 25/08/2026: Under the chairmanship of Laxmikanta Debta, Principal of DAV Jharsuguda, Investiture Ceremony was organised on the school premises for the formation of the Student Council for the academic session 2026–27. On the occasion, the newly elected members were formally invested with their respective positions and entrusted with their responsibilities. The four Houses, Bararuchi, Bhababhooti, Dhanwantari and Patanjali and twelve clubs, namely Language, Quiz, Music, Art, Innovation, Dance, Disaster Management, AI & Cyber, Integrity, Heritage, Health & Wellness and Eco Club, have been newly formed. Alekh Bihari Sahoo has been entrusted with the responsibility of House Coordinator, while Nilima Patel has been appointed as the Club Coordinator.

In the Student Election conducted through a democratic process, Ashwini Kumar Jha was elected as Head Boy, Arohi Praveen Kirtivar as Head Girl, Ansh Singh as Sports Secretary and Arpita Priyadarshini Sahu as Cultural Secretary. Elina Patel was nominated as Bararuchi House Captain, Harshita Tiwari as Bhababhooti House Captain, Shriansh Bindal as Dhanwantari House Captain and Preeti Prasanna Biswal as Patanjali House Captain. Similarly, Sidiksha Singh was nominated as the Captain of the Language Club, Lakshya Singh of the Quiz Club, Shruti Samlagna Pani of the Music Club, Abhipsa Kar of the Art Club, Lopamudra Satpathy of the Innovation Club, Anwesha Nanda of the Dance Club, Nishi Gupta of the Disaster Management Club, S. Nirvani of the AI & Cyber Club, Ayushi Singh of the Integrity Club, Ishita Panigrahi of the Heritage Club, Priyanshi Sahu of the Health & Wellness Club and Rajashree Panigrahi of the Eco Club. In addition, Satya Swarup Sahu was nominated as the NCC Army Wing Commander, Shaurya Singh as the NCC Air Flight Senior, Sahil Samal as the Patrol Leader (Scout), Trisha Bhandari as the Patrol Leader (Guide), Gurmeet Sakunia as the Cub Sixer, Amita Priyadarshini Lenka as the Bulbul Sixer, and Sumit Ghosh as the JRC Junior Leader. All the members of the Houses and Clubs took an oath to discharge their responsibilities associated with their new positions sincerely and efficiently during the current academic session and to bring glory and honour to the school.
