Cuttack (Kalinga Voice): Police DG Sri Abhay invited brave heart Sepoy Himanshu Sekhar Patra for a cup of coffee with him in his office as a goodwill gesture to thank for the bravery he has shown for protecting the life and property of the people. DG praised him and informed him that he is going to be rewarded for this.
In a tweet, DG says ” I invited brave heart Sepoy Himanshu S Patra for a cup of coffee with me in my office.He is a brave, sincere, and simple man .I have informed him about conferring DGP disc on him as a recognition of his bravery.”
Sepoy Himansu Sekhar Patra of 2nd SSBn was traveling as a civilian under Bhuban PS when a miscreant with a Pistol entered inside the Bus and threatened the driver. Mr. Patra immediately acted upon and could snatch away the Pistol from the assailant and hence prevented a mishap from happening.
SP Anugul has praised the the sepoy Sri Patra for his bravery too.
