• Reviews Station Redevelopment Works Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
Bhubaneswar, October 30, 2026: Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager, East Coast Railway, inspected Sambalpur City Railway Station today and reviewed the progress of ongoing redevelopment works being undertaken under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
During the inspection, the General Manager took stock of the progress of various station improvement and infrastructure development works aimed at enhancing passenger amenities and improving the overall station environment.
Shri Funkwal stressed the importance of providing improved passenger amenities, better circulation facilities and a cleaner, more comfortable station environment for rail users.
The General Manager highlighted the importance of developing railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme to provide passengers with modern facilities and an improved travel experience. He advised the officials to closely monitor the works and ensure the planned improvements are implemented effectively.
Senior officers from East Coast Railway Headquarters and Divisional Railway Manager,Sambalpur accompanied the General Manager during the inspection.
