Jharsuguda/ 08/05/2026: A Health Check-up Camp was organised on the DAV Public School, Jharsuguda premises on the occasion of World Red Cross Day celebration. The camp was conducted under the chairmanship of the school Principal, Laxmi Kanta Debta. Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Henry Dunant during the programme. Senior Dr. Bhagya Bidhayak Mangaraj, Dr. Raja Ram and Health Department official Bedprasad Dora, along with their medical team from Vedanta visited the DAV campus and conducted health check-ups of more than 50 people. Blood pressure, blood sugar and several other health tests were carried out during the camp. Dr. Mangaraj and Dr. Raja Ram not only provided medical services but also advised the participants regarding health awareness, healthy lifestyle practices and the importance of regular health check-ups.
The World Red Cross Day celebration programme was coordinated by Nityananda Sahoo, Hemlata Jaiswal, Anamika Rani and Rashmirekha Sharma. On this occasion, teacher Bijaykrishna Chhatria and student Priyanka Das delivered speeches highlighting the importance of humanitarian service, health awareness and the service-oriented activities of the Red Cross Society.
Teachers, staff members and Junior Red Cross students actively participated in the programme. With the cooperation and coordination of all, the Health Check-up Camp concluded successfully.
