Homage to legendary Smt. Nandini Satpathy on her 91st birth anniversary

Bhubaneswar: 9 June was notified as National Daughters Day of India (Nandini Diwas) in year 2007 by the then Governor of Orissa Rameshwar Thakur and was appreciated by the then PM of India Dr. Manmohan Singh. This was marked on the birth date of legendary Smt. Nandini Satpathy as mark of respect for her.

Rich tributes were paid to the hero of freedom struggle of India, Ex Rajya Sabha member, Ex I&B Minister of India, Ex Minister attached to PM of India, Ex CM of Orissa and a prominent literary Late Smt. Nandini Satpathy. Tributes were paid at several locations of India as well as abroad. The CM of Odisha Shri. Naveen Patnaik took to social media along with several others to pay homage.
On the occasion Chairman of Smt. Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT) Shri. Suparno Satpathy expressed his gratitude. In a social media post he said “Every daughter is precious. Greetings on 9 June National Daughters Day (Nandini Diwas) On her 91st birth anniversary missing MA a bit more than usual. Smt. Nandini Satpathy for the world and the world for your’s truly”

At several locations several noted persons like Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Mayors, Media house editors, Business leaders, academicians, social leaders and many others marked the 16th National Daughters Day of India and paid their homage to legendary Smt. Nandini Satpathy
