Four days long Eastern Region Conference to witness the presence of a galaxy of national and international Architects
Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : Indian Institute of Architects, Odisha Chapter today announced its flagship event“Kshitij” Eastern Region Conference 2022 from 16thto 19th December 2022at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon Convention Centre, Bhubaneswar.
Announcing the Conference Ar. Raj Kanwar Nayak, Chairperson, IIA Odisha Chapter said, We are happy to announce the biggest conference of Architects in Eastern India – ERC 2022. The ERC is one of the major events of the Indian Institute of Architects for the Eastern Zone comprising of Odisha, West Bengal,Assam,Bihar & Jharkhand. The Conference envisages to advance the interests of members, their professional standards, and to expand and advocate the value of architects and architecture for the sustainable and harmonious growth of our country, society, economy, and culture. The theme, Kshitij, “the Rising Architectural Horizon” embodies our dynamic and progressive profession. The Conference structure provides an opportunity to facilitate valuable exchanges between regional, national, and international architects; speakers and delegates; technical partners and practitioners; between students, professionals, industry, and authorities.
As our profession takes wings and creates new dimensions, we see the far-reaching horizon, that seems to extend with the times. We would like to take the opportunity provided by Kshitij to debate, discuss and analyse our profession through research paper presentations, guest speakers, technical sessions, industry partners, and students’ participation in these sub-themes of Kshitij like Impressions, Expressions and Innovations,
Elaborating further Ar.Akshay K.Beuria, National Council Member of Indian Institute of Architect said, During the 4 days Conference, we willwitness a broad discussion between renowned architects heading from abroad and the national enclave including dialogue exchanges, and panel discussions. Eminent Architect speakers include;Ar. Jose Luis Cortes (President of Union of International Architects), Eminent Architect Ar. Raj Rewal,New Delhi (Raj RewalAssociates), Ar. Javier Munroz, Mexico, Ar. Ashish Acharjee will be presenting works of Eminent Architect Charles Correa, Ar. Dulal Mukherjee,Kolkata, Ar. Siddhartha Talwarfrom Studio Lotus,New Delhi , Ar. J P Agrawal, Kolkata and AR. VishuBhoosanfrom ZahaHadid Architects,London. In addition to the eminent Architects there will be host of speakers from 5 chapters of IIA.,
Speaking on the activities, Ar Swopnadutta Mohanty, Organising Secretary and Vice chairperson, IIA Odisha chapter said, more than 500 Architects have already registered for the event. There are lot of competitions and prizes for Architects & Students from the Eastern states. This is an golden opportunity provided by Kshitij to debate, discuss and analyse our thought processes through research paper presentations, technical sessions, panel discussions, industry- academia interface. This would provide a great learning opportunity to the young architects and young students community participating invarious events specially designed for the enhancement of their creative quotient.
