Inauguration of Vaccination Centre at UAIL

Rayagada (Saroj Kumar Sahu): As a part of the nationwide roll-out of the Covid vaccine, a Vaccination center has been inaugurated at Utkal Hospital . Utkal Hospital is a health care initiative of UAIL, a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group. Utkal Hospital had already been conferred a status of L1 Covid Hospital in the past and now endeavoring to contribute to the vaccination drive through this vaccination center.
The Aarogya Setu app registration as mandated by the government pre-vaccination was ensured and the Utkal hospital management voluntarily made the registration at COWIN.gov.in to the persons who cant make it to registration because of their lack of awareness and inaccessibility. The CSR department of UAIL is also relentlessly working towards mobilizing the people about the benefits of vaccination and the provisions made available in the vaccination center.


In the day one 10 persons from the nearby villages were vaccinated on the inaugural day subsequently almost 50 have been vaccinated till date which include people from nearby villages. Also a mobile van with banner and audio aids was made available in this region to sensitize the community about the facilities and benefits of Vaccination center at UTKAL hospital. The inaugural event was graced by many delegates like District Collector, CDMO Rayagada and Utkal fraternity.
The Collector and DM of Rayagada applauded the consistent effort of UAIL towards fighting COVID 19 and asked the UAIL management to accelerate the process of vaccination to give benefits to the last person of the mile.

Speaking to the occasion, Unit head of UAIL, Mr. Beig appreciated the UAIL management for their good coordination with district administration for this vaccination program and assured that there will be seamless and speedy performance from the UAIL team in this vaccine drive. As a responsible corporate citizen, UAIL is deeply engaged in executing its CSR activities in peripheral villages in the area of education, healthcare, sustainable livelihood, and rural infrastructure and addressing the issues of social concern, overall UAIL is engaged in 57 villages serving more than 30,000 populations in Odisha.
