Bhubaneswar,(Kalinga Voice):Govt. has decided to conduct internal assessment of all the Aahaar Centres. As part of the Community participation agenda, operation and management of all the 167 Aahaar Centres being operated in Urban areas have been handed over to Mission Shakti SHGs. In order to ensure quality of services and maintain hygiene of food served to people-centred services, Govt. has decided to conduct internal assessment of all the Aahaar Centres.
In view of this, an Orientation programme on the assessment process was conducted today for the Mission Shakti SHGs engaged in O&M of AAHAAR Centres, DUDA Experts of all districts and City Mission Managers of 115 ULBs under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary to Govt. and OSD AAHAAR Sarada Prasad Panda. Professional from State team also participated in the programme.
Sri Panda while briefing about the detailed assessment process, interacted with the members of the Mission Shakti SHGs , appreciated their contribution and efforts towards managing AAHAAR Centres. He also deliberated a detailed matrix ensuring quality standards, hygiene, and performance based evaluation. Stressing upon timely monitoring and evaluation, he advised the team to closely coordinate at each and every Aahaar Centre and immediately flag issues if any and address it. Professionals were advised to complete the assessment in schedule time. Mission Shakti led Aahar Management has brought smiles for the people. Commending the efforts of the Mission Shakti Partners, Sri Panda said the SHG partners are our strength, our eyes and ears.
