Berhampur(Kalinga Voice) : Khallikote Unitary University organized an Alumni Meet recently. The event was attended by Mo College Chairperson Shri Akash Dasnayak, President of Alumni Association Shri Digvijay Behera, Ex-MLA Berhampur and Alumni Shri Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, Deputy Mayor of Berhampur Municipal Corporation Shri E. Bibek Reddy, and prominent alumni Shri AK Sabat. The Alumni Meeting was presided by Vice Chancellor Shri Prafulla Kumar Mohanty.
In his speech Mo College chairperson Shri Akash Dasnayak said that alumnis of Khallikote University must connect with Mo College Abhijan and work together for the development of their Alma Mater. “Mo College Abhijan is the perfect podium for both Alumni and the higher education institution. Reconnecting back to your own Alma mater will give you a sense of achievement”, opined the Chairperson while interacting with the gathering.
The Mo College Chairperson also inaugurated the e-Library and computer lab of commerce department during the event. Late Alumni Shri Krushna Chandra Padhy’s wife Smt. Sreeja Mishra (Reader in English at Mahamayee Mahila Mahavidyalaya) donated a cheque of Rs 1 Lakh to Shri Akash Dasnayak. The contribution will be utilised for a new seminar library at the commerce department of the University.
MLA Berhampur Shri Bikram Kumar Panda stated that “Mo College Abhijan is a flagship program by the Govt of Odisha which gives ample scope to Alumnis to connect to their Alma Mater and Alumnis of Khallikote Unitary University can evolve their Institution in a grand way.”
