Bhubaneswar/Bengaluru: Odishan Tribal Painting Exhibition inaugurated on Sunday(31stJuly) at Karnatak Chitrakala Parishad,Bengaluru by Sri Ashwini Kumar Patra, Minister, Odia Language, Literature,Culture ,Tourism and Excise, Govt of Odisha . Sri Madhusudan Padhi, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary to Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department,Odisha , Dr. N.Manjula,IAS, Secretary, Department of Kannada & Culture ,Karnataka & Mr, Mahendra D. , President Karnatak Lalit Kala Academy attended the inauguration function as the Guest of Honour . Padmashree Sudarshan Pattnaik, President of Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi presided over the function organised here on the occasion.
Minister Sri Patra in his address praised Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi for organising such a camp of the first time with 25 Nos of Tribal Artist of different district of Odisha followed with exhibition of their art work outside Odisha extending exposure to the tribal artist. Sri Patra , Hon’ble Minister has said that organising such camp and exhibition outside the State of Odisha will help in exchange of artistic knowledge and Odishan culture. The Hon’ble Minister felicitated all the participants and highly appreciated their heart touching art works.
On the occasion many eminent artists from Odisha and Karnataka attended . Prior to the exhibition, Tribal Artist camp especially on Soura Painting was held from 28th July to 31st July 2022. The Exhibition will continue upto 3rd August, 2022 at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad. The art work of Artists Subhadra Koroa, Tapaswini Majhi, Lipsa Samad, Peety Dungdung, Dolly Jani, Gouri Bhumia, Swati Jani, Renubala Nayak, Lokeswari Sabar,Srabani Sabar, Mohini Sabar, Belasmi Sabar,Soubhagya Manjari Mallick, Jogi Sabar, Jalandhar Sabar, Kodanda Sabar, Junesh Gamango, Ashwini Kumar Naik, Anil Kerketta, Ballav Kishore Hansdah, Himanshu Sabar, Chandan Sabar have been show cased in the exhibition. Sri Panchanan Samal, Secretary,Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi coordinated the function for it success.
