Bhubaneswar(Kalinga Voice) : As a part of the provision of passenger amenities, a newly constructed Road Under Bridge has been inaugurated at the Radhakishorepur Railway Station, today by Shri Ranendra Pratap Swain, Hon’ble Minister of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare, Co-operation, Govt. of Odisha and Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab, Member of Parliament/Cuttack and Shri Kalyan Patnaik, Addl. Divisional Railway Manager, EastCoast Railway, Khurda Road.
Provision of the RUB atRadhakishorepur Station would help passengers and nearby villagers to access both sides of the train line in view of the safety of both rail and road users. This will also help the Divyangjans a great deal from a convenience point of view.
The RUB is 4 metre wide and 2.75 metre height having the barrel length of 68 metre, crossing route No. 1 to 4 & Platform no. 1 & 2 ofRadhakishorepur yard. This project is a part of doubling work ofBarang-Rajathagarh Rail line constructed by RVNL. To avoid the Level CrossingGate No. JB-2 in Radhakishorepur yard and in view of Safety of both Rail &Road Users, RUB has been constructed replacing Level Crossing. This will providebenefit to the people of nearby villages. Rupees 3.75 Crores have been spentfor construction of this Road Under Bridge.
Earlier, MP Shri Bhartruhari Mahtabinaugurated the Monumental National Flag at Cuttack Railway Station in presence of Shri Souvic Biswal, MLA, Chaudwar-Cuttack. To improve the aesthetics of the Cuttack Railway Station, this monumental National Flag has been installed in the Historical Town and DistrictHeadquarters. The flag mast is of 100 feet in height (30.5metre) and the dimension of flag is 30 feet long and 20 feet breadth. Total expenditure incurred for the execution of this work was 8.27 lakhs.
